If you forget your windows password, you can reset the password using the Password Reset Disk.
In the previous post, I have shown How to create a password reset disk. Now in this post I am going to show you how to use that disk to reset your windows password.

Step 1. In the login screen, click the arrow

password-reset-diskStep 2: After clicking the arrow, windows will throw an error message “The username or password is incorrect“, click Ok

Step 3: In the next screen you will see a link “Reset password…” below the login box. Click on that link.

[ Make sure you have already inserted the removable media or connected the USB flash drive, or else you will get an error message:

Step 4: The Password Reset Wizard window will open. Click Next

password-reset-diskStep 5: From the drop-down menu select the drive which contains the password key disk ( which has userkey.psw ), click Next

password-reset-diskStep 6: Enter the new password, type a password hint, click Next
password-reset-diskStep 7: Click Finish to close the password reset wizard.

Now login to your user account entering the newly created password.
