Do you watch Sci-fi movies? Do you love the way how computers welcome users by its own computerized voice? And you want to know how it is possible? Then you are at the right place.
There is a simple trick to do this.
Step 1: Open Notepad
Click on Start – All programs – Accessories – Notepad
Step 2: Copy all the codes given below and paste it in notepad.
Dim speaks, speech
speaks="Welcome to your PC, WalkyTechy"
Step 3: Now replace “WalkyTechy” with your name.
Step 4: Save the file as “Welcome.vbs“.
Go to File – Save As – Save as type – Select All Files – in the File Name field type “Welcome.vbs” – click Save.

Step 5: Navigate to this path:
XP : “C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersStart MenuProgramsStartup”
Windows 7, Vista users, Windows 8: “C:Users User-NameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup ”
Step 6: Copy and paste the “Welcome.vbs” file here in Startup folder.
From now on when you turn your computer on, your computer will welcome you in its own computerized voice.
Now you need to set the windows startup sound to No sound, otherwise, the welcome message will conflict with your windows startup sound. To do this follow these simple steps:
Go to Control Panel – Hardware and Sound – Sound – go to Sounds tab – Sound Scheme – and from the drop down list select No sounds. – Apply – Ok
How to disable the welcome message –
So to get back to your default welcome tone, you just need to remove the Welcome.vbs file. After removing the vbs file, again go to Control Panel– Hardware and Sound – Sound – then go to Sounds tab – Sound Scheme – and from the drop down list select the sound which you want to set as your PC’s welcome tone and click Apply then OK.
